This course is designed for high-level language acquisition, focusing on advanced communication skills (receptive, productive, and interactive) through authentic personal, professional, and mass media texts. Throughout the two-year program, we will explore five core themes: Identities, Experiences, Human Ingenuity, Social Organization, and Sharing the Planet.
As an HL course, you will also engage in the study of two literary works originally written in English, deepening your critical thinking, analysis, and appreciation of target cultures. Our goal is not only linguistic fluency, but also the development of intercultural understanding, international-mindedness, and critical inquiry.
